IAB: Online advertising is effective for branding

The  three  studies,  from  the  Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB),
Doubleclick,  and MSN, studied the effectiveness of the new ad formats
approved  by  the  IAB  earlier  this  year,  along  with  various  ad
technologies and placements.

The  new  larger ad formats, meanwhile, improve branding metrics by an
average  of  40  percent,  whereas interstitials improve metrics by an
average of 194 percent.
